One of the best pop bands from the ’90s are playing a gig in Tullamore this evening

Paul Moore

Keep on movin’ to Offaly.

Reunions of bands from the ’90s are en vogue right now (those girls aren’t getting back though) and Irish fans have already seen acts like Take That and Blur bury the hatchet. Fans of The Stone Roses will also be able to see Ian Brown and the lads perform at Marlay Park this summer.

All Saints are another band that will be back touring together soon but I stand by the following statement. Melanie, Shaznay and the Appleton sisters don’t have as many catchy tunes as 5ive do.

To be fair, time has been extremely kind to 5ive’s back catalogue of tracks because their songs like When the Lights Go Out, Keep on Movin’ and Everybody get Up are still incredibly catchy pop songs.

The band are playing at the Palace Bar in Tullamore this evening and they’re going on stage at 22:30. Granted they’re short one member but still.

Forbidden Fruit be damned because we’ve got the feelin’ that this is going to be one hell of a fun gig.
