Motorists were stuck in a particularly unusual traffic jam on the Samuel Beckett Bridge this morning when a swan sat itself down in the middle of the road and refused to budge.
It is not known whether the swan was threatening to take hostages or making any demands, but it was eventually moved from the areas after Gardai were called to the scene to deal with the disruptive water fowl.

Turns out that a lot of people noticed the swan, who was ‘refusing to let traffic past’.
