The moment of truth is upon us.
Starting with an inspiring monologue from Conor McGregor ahead of their 1-1 draw with Sweden, it’s fair to say that RTÉ have got their coverage of Ireland’s Euro 2016 campaign pretty spot-on.
They’ve upped their game with the pre-match montage for tonight’s decisive clash with Italy, which will either see Ireland tumble out of the tournament or power through to the knock-out rounds.
The video features goals from our (relatively) successful games with Italy during the qualifying campaign for the 2010 World Cup – as well as the times that they’ve broken our hearts (we’re looking at you Schillaci).
Most importantly, the video shows Ray Houghton’s winner against the Italians in 1994 – which encapsulates exactly what the boys in green need to do tonight: win.
