How someone thought to do it in the first place we have no idea, but you’ll probably have come across a man trying to balance a giant ladder on his chin at some point.
If not, a quick search on YouTube and you’ll be familiar with it in no time.
JOE reader Roy Gilmore is something of an expert at it, telling us that he’s tried it with ladders and garden furniture and says it’s great craic.
On Friday on a site in Dublin city centre, he attempted his most ambitious feat yet, balancing a 12-foot ladder (the heaviest and tallest implement he’s ever used) on his chin and doing a quite impressive job of it too.
If the foreman happens to be watching, don’t worry; we’re sure it was during his lunch break.
