A ‘90s dance classic like you’ve never heard it before.
The performance of the Chemical Brothers on the main stage earned rave reviews but it wasn’t the only great thing about Day One of Electric Picnic in Stradbally.
Plenty of people were excited about an event on the Rankin’s Wood Stage featuring the RTÉ Concert Orchestra performing some 90s dance classics with the help of 2FM’s Jenny Greene and DJs Mo K and Dave Treacy when we flagged it in advance last week.
By the looks and sounds of things, it lived up to expectations and then some; if you’re in any way familiar with this classic tune, then you’re going to love this version of ‘Children’ by Robert Miles, filmed on the night by 2FM’s Carl Mullan.
A bit of ‘Played-A-Live’ by Safri Duo thrown in as well? Quality.

And if that wasn’t good enough, have a blast of ‘Insomnia’ by Faithless for good measure.
One of the greatest nights of radio I've ever been involved in. So proud of the team at @RTE2fm #ElectricPicnic pic.twitter.com/CWsRamexNI
