Here at JOE we’re always happy to answer adventure’s call.
But sometimes adventure, God love it, can be a bit on the pricey side.
Heading off to Vegas for a long weekend or booking a seat on Richard Branson’s Mars-bound spaceship might sound like fine ideas at the time, but the ideal adventure shouldn’t cost the world or endanger your life.
An adventure should be fun and friendly and (ideally) non-life threatening.
We’ve teamed up with KBC Bank to list five adventures in Dublin that you can have for well under €100.
Check them out…

The vikings may be gone, but their mischievous ways are still represented by the Viking Splash Tour.
Your driver will bring you on a whistle-stop tour of Dublin’s rich history in between telling jokes so old they that predate the vikings themselves.
You’ll be encouraged to shout the viking’s roar at pedestrians and the tour ends with a maritime voyage around the Grand Canal Docks area.
Tickets are €22 for adults, €20 for students and OAPS, €17 for teenagers and €12 for the under 12s. More information is available by clicking here.

Zipping through the air with the greatest of ease…
Located in the beautiful forest setting of the Tibradden Wood in Dublin 16, Zipit is Ireland’s first high-wire aerial forest adventure. It’s built across different platforms on trees of varying heights and spans five circuits of incremental difficulty.
It’s something a bit different and you don’t have to be in peak physical condition to enjoy the experience. Conquer that irrational fear of heights you have and give your adrenal gland a work out.
It’s €30 for adults and the course takes four hours in total. Details are available here.

A few of the JOE and Her.ie folks went to this last month and we had an absolute blast.
Like some sort of Brazilian prison fantasy camp, you and your mates are led into a room. You’re handcuffed to the wall. The door is locked and a timer starts counting down.
You then have a set amount of time to unshackle yourself and solve a series of brainteasers in order to gain your freedom.
The rooms are brilliantly designed, the puzzles are wonderfully clever and you and your pals will feel like clever clogs with each clue your get right.
The prices depend on how many people go along (from €33 to €18 ) and details can be found here.

This expedition around Dublin’s spookiest spots is terrifying fun for Dublin natives and tourists alike. Some of the stops include Bram Stoker’s birthplace, the haunted College Of Surgeons, the Hellfire Club and even the occasional graveyard.
The tour is led by an extremely sinister guide and driver. A good night’s sleep is not guaranteed.
Tickets are €28 and are available from here.

Located twenty minutes drive from Dublin city centre, Kylemore Indoor Karting is a place for you and your mates to live out your Fast & Furious fantasies without being banned from the road for life.
Prices vary but start out at €15. For a full list of prices and other options click here.
