This person wants to thank the stranger who went above and beyond to help her on Monday

Tony Cuddihy

Who doesn’t love a very kind deed?

JOE reader Natalie O’Brien has sent us this story from a friend of hers, who wants to reach out to the man who helped her get her godson to his debs in Tullamore.

When the car broke down near Enfield, this gentleman – whom she describes as having had an Eastern European accent – tried to start it using jump leads.

When that didn’t work, he helped her to get her car on to the grass verge and, while she waited for the car to be towed by her insurance company, promptly drove her godson and his friend to the debs himself despite the fact that it took him well out of his way.

She never got his name or even his registration, but she wants to get the word out about how much she appreciated his help.

If you’ve had a bad day and lost faith in humanity, this might just restore it.

Thanks to Natalie O’Brien for this.
