It will be the fourth film in the series.
Benicio del Toro is in line to star in The Predator, the fourth in the action franchise that gave Arnold Schwarzenegger one of his biggest hits.
The movie will be directed by Shane Black – fresh from the successes of both Iron Man 3 and The Nice Guys – who had a small role in the 1987 original as one of Schwarzenegger’s platoon (and, indeed, the first to be killed by the dreadlocked beast).
There are no plot details, but it’s safe to say that it’ll be a three-hour masterpiece of nuance with a classical score.
Or, y’know, there will be blood.
