French centre-half Mamadou Sakho has launched a tirade against his club Liverpool via his Snapchat account.
Sakho’s relationship with the club has been rocky since his provisional ban from UEFA for using fat-burning pills, which was later overturned.
It is widely believed that Sakho was sent home from the club’s tour of America for having a poor attitude, a move that was reflected by Jurgen Klopp’s attempt to loan out the defender before the end of the transfer window.
The player has not featured for Liverpool since the start of the season – a decision which has resulted in midfielder Lucas Leiva making an appearance at centre-half against Leicester City.
Sakho took to his Snapchat early on Saturday morning to protest against the way he has been treated, saying “It’s 3 weeks I am fit to play games. They don’t want me to play also with segonde [sic] team.”
“I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation. I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie The fans deserve to know the true [sic]. Thanks for your support.”
