Making A Murderer fans will be gripped.
There seems to be an insatiable demand for true-crime fare as shows like HBO’s The Jinx, Netflix’s Making a Murderer and FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story have become critical and commercial darlings.
Amanda Knox and Beware the Slenderman are just two of the documentaries that we’ve got an eye on but another title is premiering soon and it concerns a decades-old crime that’s still to be resolved.
Almost 20 years ago, 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was murdered and the killer still remains at large.
In 1996, the Colorado police found her body in the basement of the family’s home, eight hours after she had been reported missing. The little girl was struck on the head and strangled.
Without revealing too much detail, the case has since took a number of twist and turns.
The film will begin with the 9-1-1 call that sparked the investigation into Ramsey’s death, and it will examine the suspicion surrounding the involvement of her family.
Who Killed JonBenet? airs this November on Lifetime.
