Paris, Rome, New York… Borris-in-Ossory?
While Ireland may not traditionally be a nation noted for its wonderful fashionable style, there are some fine-lookin’ Irishmen out there who are flying the fashion flag high on the international stage.
Here are eight of our favourite Irish fashion icons who wear their clothes incredibly well…
Michael Fassbender
One of the most sought after actors on the planet and also a figure noted for his super style, Fassbender recently attended a ceremony in his home county of Kerry to receive the town’s highest honour, The Order of Inisfallen.
2016 was a big year for the Kerry native as he featured in major roles in X-Men: Apocalypse, Trespass Against Us and he’s soon to be seen in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Assassin’s Creed.
Fassbender continues to impress on the red carpet with freshly cut Burberry and Calvin Klein pieces with labels big enough to fit his all-star persona.

Conor McGregor
The UFC featherweight champion isn’t afraid to take risks both inside and outside the ring and his electrifying personality and attitude is matched only by his standout and vibrant style.
His personal suit-maker is the CEO of David August, which sets him back between $4,000 and $10,000 for every trademark tailored piece he wears.
McGregor relishes any opportunity to express himself with his style choices and his 3 piece suits, vibrant accessories and hairstyles have put Ireland on the map in the fashion world.

Cillian Murphy
For three years he has been the star of the hugely popular Netflix production, Peaky Blinders, where his style is as sharp as his blades.
The Corkman’s slick twenties look has sparked a style revolution, with men everywhere rushing to vintage shops to purchase flatcaps, tweed blazers and black, patent, leather Oxford shoes.
The coming year promises to be one of the biggest in the actor’s already highly-successful career with a role in Christopher Nolan’s World War Two thriller, Dunkirk and the highly anticipated fourth series of Peaky Blinders.
Murphy’s reputation as one of the coolest Irish men on the planet promises to live on for many years to come.

Jamie Dornan
Cillian Murphy’s Anthropoid co-star is renowned as one of the sexiest men in the world and his sense of style certainly follows with it.
Dornan made the switch from model to actor in 2013, starring in popular TV crime thriller, The Fall before bagging one of the most coveted roles in Hollywood with Fifty Shades of Grey and since then, his career has gone from the strength to strength.
Before he was an actor, the Down man also featured in the world’s biggest advertising campaigns – for the likes of Calvin Klein, Dior and Armani and his experience in the fashion industry has certainly stood with him.
Dornan has the perfect balance of fresh street style, to high fashion red carpet looks and no matter what he’s doing or where he’s going, he always looks and dresses the part.

Danny O’ Donoghue
“Danny From The Script” is one of the most recognisable front men in modern music, with his band sky rocketing to worldwide success across all continents.
Citing high fashion brands such Bolongaro Trevor, Rick Owens and Acne as some of his favourites, Danny certainly has his own trademark look, with a wardrobe brimming with enough exquisite leather jackets to make any man jealous.
Danny nails that classic biker/rock star look and with his band currently in the studio producing their 5th album, Script fans cant wait to see the star take to the stage once again

Robert Sheehan
Robert Sheehan, best known for his roles as young offender Nathan from the award-winning Channel 4 series, Misfits, and Darren in the smash RTÉ hit, Love/Hate, effortlessly falls into this list with a signature stamp.
Similar to Danny O’Donoghue, Sheehan also wears a lot of leather, but has more of a dark grunge vibe to his look which often features Pete Doherty-style stingy brim hats and deep neck t-shirts, coupled with quirky accessories.
Sheehan’s eccentric personality and style go hand in hand.

Colin Farrell
Colin Farrell has been one of the most stylish Irish men for many years now.
A renowned Hollywood hero, Farrell has no problem pulling no punches in his outfit choices.
A regular in any of the best-dressed sections of the red carpet, Farrell is a massive fan of topcoats, blanket plaid and striped suits as well as vintage, rocker style casual looks which has followed him throughout his incredible career on and off the big screen.

Paul Galvin
Since retiring from Kerry football in January 2016, Galvin’s career in the fashion industry has seen him release his own collection of clothing with Dunnes Stores and form a reputation as one of Ireland’s most stylish men.
His look is consistently creative and diverse as his Instagram feed shows. A true lover of fashion, Galvin is constantly searching for that next big look and is heavily influenced by designers such as Jerry Lorenzo, Kanye West and Maxwell Osbourne.
On his second line of collections with Dunnes titled, Born Mad, Galvin gives us a taster of what he feels are the freshest looks for the men of Ireland.
