VIDEO: Donald Trump on Irish TV in 2014 saying he “could win” against Hillary Clinton

Tony Cuddihy

He predicted this.

Donald Trump gave an interview to Colette Fitzpatrick on TV3 in 2014, on Ireland AM, before he had even announced his candidacy to become the 45th President of the United States.

A more laid-back Trump than we’re used to said that Hillary Clinton was, “very smart. She’s going to be the Democratic nominee and she’s going to be very tough to beat.”

He then paved the way for his own run by saying, “unless the Republicans have someone very tough and very smart, they’re not going to win.”

He was then asked if he was going to run by Fitzpatrick.

Thanks to TV3 for sending us this clip.
