Superb TV.
Aside from being extremely articulate and intelligent speakers on the topic of mental health, Blindboy Boatclub and Mr Chrome ( better known as The Rubberbandits ) have never been afraid to speak up on any topic that deeply matters to them.
Yes, they’re comedians and gas c**tists first, but their unique mix of biting satire and surrealism has seen them discuss a variety of important issues in Irish society, such as; drugs, the IRA, Irish history, Fianna Fáil and most notably, mental health with Simon Harris.
In a week that has seen the majority of the world’s focus being placed on the US presidential election, it’s easy to overlook some of the glaring problems that exist in Irish society. Thank god because the Rubberbandits premiered their superb new show and it’s currently available to watch on the RTÉ player.

In typical Rubberbandits fashion, their guide to money and economics is informative and f**ing funny. Somehow, the duo have managed to explain capitalism, the Celtic Tiger and the fall of the Irish financial system while simultaneously telling the story of a cocaine addicted gorilla and ‘The Trout of No Craic’ trying to get on the property ladder.
We especially loved the quick game of scorpion that they managed to fit in on the beach.
Audiences were quick to heap praise on the debut episode and with three more to go, it’s an absolute must watch.
Better politics on the @Rubberbandits show on RTÉ2 than the Right & Righter show on RTÉ1. How is this a representative panel to discuss LRA?

. @Rubberbandits just explained capitalism perfectly. Right now, economic lecturers all over Ireland are buying pigs, toilet roll & cocaine.
