His fans will be very happy.
Phil Collins has added a Dublin date at Aviva Stadium on 25 June as part of his highly anticipated comeback tour. The gig in Dublin will be his first Irish concert in 12 years and fans can expect to hear all of his greatest hits.
With 100 million record sales to his name, the former Genesis star has a devout following that has been hoping for a return tour ever since he announced his retirement from music in 2011.
One the most successful artists of his generation, with more UK top 40 singles than any other artist of the 1980s, Collins came to prominence first as drummer and then as frontman of Genesis, making his solo debut with 1981’s album Face Value, containing smash hit single ‘In The Air Tonight.’
He followed this with an extraordinary run as a prolific hit maker. 3 UK Number ones – Easy Lover, You Can’t Hurry Love and Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now) – as well as 7 US Numbers 1’s and global smashes.
