Hold on to your hats.
First things first, let’s get the obligatory spoiler alert out of the way.

With fewer episodes than usual in season 7, events have progressed at a fairly startling rate in Westeros of late, all leading up to a potentially explosive finale this weekend.
The finale, of course, will be the longest ever Game of Thrones episode and is expected to clock in around the 80-minute mark; it’s a good job too because there’s an awful lot to fit in.
The trailer for the final episode has already given us a glimpse of a summit of all the major players, the sight of the Unsullied forces marching in great numbers towards King’s Landing and Sansa looking quite ponderous in Winterfell following her incredibly tense encounter with Arya last time around.
HBO have supplemented the trailer with the release of a series of images from the season finale and not for the first time, Jon Snow doesn’t look particularly comfortable in his surroundings, while there’s a hint that Bran – who, let’s face it, hasn’t had a whole lot to do this season – might have a role to play yet.

While it’s definitely had its moments, it’s been something of a divisive season amongst fans so far; here’s hoping it finishes with a bang.
