The salaries of the highest-earning US TV stars over the last year have been revealed and it won’t come as a surprise that a number of Game of Thrones stars make the list.
It is one of the biggest TV shows in the world after all, and we’re counting down the minutes until the final episode of the season.
But while a number of the cast are high up in the upper rungs of the pay scale, it’s an actor more commonly associated with films that tops the list.
Robert De Niro is at the summit, taking home a cool $775,000 (€656,640) for his role in the upcoming untitled Amazon television series from director David O. Russell.
In second place is NCIS actor Mark Harmon, who is earning $525,000 (€444,821) per episode of his show.
Then come the five Game of Thrones stars who are each taking home $500,000 (€423,639) per episode of their show. The five are; Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister).
