People of Brighton, we salute you.
Good news these days is hard to find. There seems to be a constant wave of tragedies and travesties happening around the world, so when some genuinely positive news comes around, it makes it all the better.
This story goes from absolutely heartbreaking to heartwarming in a matter of Facebook comments. One lonely, disabled woman was searching for someone to have a Sunday roast with, and the replies are nothing short of beautiful. Michael Taggart shared the post on Twitter.

People are quick to talk about the downsides of social media, but this is a perfect example of the good work that it can do. We can only hope to see more of this. Just take a look at the amount of people who were cheered up by the story.

Here’s hoping that the people of Brighton make good on their promise and Pat O’Byrne gets the Sunday roast that she wants. After all, who doesn’t want a good Sunday roast?
