Track Dogs maintain their track record.
Based in Madrid and made up of two Irish musicians and one apiece from the US and the UK, Track Dogs released their album Kansas City Out Groove in April. ‘Dead to Rights’ is the third song from that album. The lads are a talented bunch and we’ve featured them here before.
Track Dogs’ potent combination of harmonies, trumpet and cajón has won them fans so far this year at Costa Del Folk in Ibiza, on festival stages across the UK and at Trafalgar Square, London, where they performed on St. Patrick’s Day. They also performed a special concert at the Irish Embassy in Madrid for dignitaries led by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.
The accompanying video is pretty special too. It’s a graphic novel-inspired video featuring striking artwork by award-winning Spanish illustrator Aurelio Medina. The lads themselves are in the middle of a small Irish tour and play the Sugar Club in Dublin on Thursday, 30 August followed by a performance on the Salty Dog stage at Electric Picnic on Friday, 31 August.
