#TRAILERCHEST: Paul Greengrass tells the story of Norway’s deadliest terrorist attack

Dave Hanratty

“Norway isn’t on trial. You are.”

Welcome to #TRAILERCHEST, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the new trailer for 22 July.

Plot’s it all about?

Paul Greengrass, he of Bloody Sunday, United 93 and the best Bourne adventures, is back with another emotionally-charged film, one that centres on a truly horrific day in modern history.

22 July tells the story of Norway’s deadliest terrorist attack, which took place in the summer of 2011.

Dozens of people – 77 in total – were killed after far-right extremist Anders Behring Breivik detonated a car bomb in Oslo, before carrying out a mass shooting at a leadership camp for teenagers.

The Academy Award-nominated director uses the lens of one survivor’s physical and emotional journey to portray the country’s path to healing and reconciliation.

Starring: Anders Danielsen Lie, Jon Øigarden, Thorbjørn Harr, Ulrikke Hansen Døvigen

Directed by: Paul Greengrass

Irish release date: 22 July lands on Netflix on 10 October.
