It’s business time!
“They call me the Hiphopopotamus
My lyrics are bottomless…”
Despite the fact that Jemaine had absolutely no idea how to back up that piece of lyrical genius, we’re delighted to say that the creativity and ideas have not dried up for the brilliant Flight of the Conchords because the boys are back with a new one-off special.
As previously reported, Bret and Jemanine recently performed a live gig at the Hammersmith Apollo in London and it was recorded for a TV special that’s going to air on Sky Atlantic on October 7.
Quite frankly, this news is making us a little bit emotional and to paraphrase their iconic song “these are tears of happiness, I’ve just been cutting onions, I’m making a lasagna for one.”
Truth be told, we’re absolutely delighted to see New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo returning and if their new material is half as funny as the track they recently played on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, we’re in for a treat.
Take a look at what’s in store.
