Batman’s sidekick is stepping up.
In terms of surprising hits, the cartoon Teen Titans Go! To the Movies really came under the radar and charmed absolutely everyone that saw it.
Smart, meta and a very funny breakdown of the whole superhero genre, the cartoon introduced us to the group known as the Titans but unlike the Avengers or the Justice League, this troupe is pretty unknown.
Well, this could be about to change because Netflix have unveiled the first look at Titans – teased at the end of the cartoon – and this-new 11 episode live-action drama will follow a group of young soon-to-be super heroes that are recruited from every corner of the DC Universe.
In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson (Robin) emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and many others.
Together, this newly-formed crew of young superheroes join forces to fight their inner demons and save the planet from evil. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.
The series stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Minka Kelly and Alan Ritchson.
Having looked at the trailer, we’re getting a strong Riverdale vibe to this one.
At present, no release date has been confirmed but here’s your first look.
