Is there anything better to do on a Tuesday evening that enjoy a good movie on the couch?
You could head to the cinema to check out all the new releases there (all of our reviews of those can be found right here), but if you’d rather avoid the outside and the cold and other people altogether, then here are our recommendations for couch-viewing:
TUESDAY 29 JANUARY
The Wolverine – FilmFour – 9.00pm
While it isn’t as good as Logan, it is a huge step up from Wolverine: Origins, and this one features a big scrap on top of one of the world’s fastest trains.
Sin City – Syfy – 9.00pm
An all-star cast gets caught up in a series of overlapping and incredibly violent stories revolving around one particularly corrupt city that seems like an incredibly unfriendly place to live.
The Break-Up – Comedy Central – 9.00pm
Vince Vaughan and Jennifer Aniston are a long-term couple who decide to break up (there’s that title!), but their particular form of breaking up is way messier than any normal couple’s break-up should be.
Swordfish – TCM – 9.00pm
Hugh Jackman is a genius hacker who is coerced into robbing a bank by John Travolta’s wannabe terrorist, with Halle Berry on board to double-cross somebody (everybody?), and Don Cheadle as the FBI trying to take somebody (everybody?) down.
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy – ITV4 – 10.00pm
Another all-star cast, this time set in the world of spies and espionage, with Gary Oldman leading the charge in attempting to weed out a mole from deep inside MI6.
The Grey – FilmFour – 11.25pm
Liam Neeson survives a plane crash, only to face the bracing cold weather and a pack of hungry wolves. A grim survival thriller that deserved a bigger audience in the cinemas.
