The dark comedy returns on 4 November with a double-bill.
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down
Granted, that’s not an entirely accurate summary of the events that occurred at the end of Season 1 of The End of The F**king World, but you get the drift.
Oh yeah, spoilers.
Will James and Alyssa be arrested? Is James even alive? Is James a clone? What if James is actually Alyssa’s alter ego? Will we get another season?
Yep, there’s some mad theories and questions out there.
Thankfully, we can answer one of those questions because Channel 4 have confirmed that Season 2 of the award-winning dark comedy The End of the F***ing World will start on 4 November.
The news gets even better, because the eight-part series will air two episodes in a double bill every night starting on Monday, 4 November, with the season ending on 7 November.
Basically, that’s eight episodes in the space of four days and to sweeten the deal, we’ve now got our first look at what’s in store with Alyssa receiving a bullet with her name on it. Someone has got a vendetta, but who is it?
Very few plot details have been given away about Season 2, but we know that Jessica Barden is reprising her role as the mouthy and brazen Alyssa.
However, the fate of James (Alex Lawther) is yet to be determined.
The new series is set two years on from the Season 1 cliffhanger and Alyssa is still dealing with the fallout of past actions.
Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Lady Macbeth) joins the cast as strange new character Bonnie, an outsider with a troubled past and a mysterious connection to Alyssa. Tim Key (This Time with Alan Partridge) also joins as motel owner Gus.
Charlie Covell is returning to write the new episodes of the show, which is based on the comic book series by Charles Forsman.
Take a look at what’s in store.
