It made over $2.2 billion at the box office… that’s a spicy meatball!
Not sure what to watch tonight? Well, you’ve got 2023’s most entertaining movie so far, now available to stream at home, or you’ve got 26 new movie additions to Netflix. But if you’re looking for even more options this evening, here are the movies on TV to choose from, starting with…
Men In Black 3 – FilmFour – 6.55pm
An actually pretty decent sequel, with Will Smith going back in time to save his current day partner (Tommy Lee Jones) by teaming up with the younger version of his partner (a perfectly cast Josh Brolin).
Eddie the Eagle – Sky Showcase – 7pm
The heart-warming true story of a completely unprepared young man (Taron Egerton) who sets his sights on becoming an Olympic skier, and he even manages to convince a washed-up coach (Hugh Jackman) to help him train.
No Time To Die – ITV2 – 8pm
Daniel Craig’s final outing as Bond is not as good as Casino Royale or Skyfall, but it is better than Quantum Of Solace and Spectre.
Titanic – FilmFour – 9pm
Our big pick for tonight is Titanic, the fourth biggest box office hit of all time, behind only Avengers: Endgame and the two Avatar movies. So if you’re keeping track, yes, writer/director James Cameron is behind three of the four biggest movies of all time. Chances are you’ve already seen the doomed romantic drama, but there is literally never a bad time to (re)watch Kate Winslet and Leo DiCaprio as star-crossed lovers on the luxury cruise liner. Titanic is also available to watch on Netflix and Disney+ in Ireland and the UK.

The Sisters Brothers – TG4 – 9.30pm
John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix star in this fantastic western about two brothers, who are also assassins, hunting down two men (Jake Gyllenhaal and Riz Ahmed), who believe they’ve found a huge gold reserve.
The Taking of Pelham 123 – ITV4 – 10pm
Not the great 1974 original, but the sub-par 2009 remake, with John Travolta taking a subway train hostage, and Denzel Washington as the metro dispatcher who tries to reason with him.
Going In Style – BBC Two – 10.30pm
Zach Braff (of Scrubs fame) directs this comedy thriller about three old men (Morgan Freeman, Alan Arkin, Michael Caine) who decide to rob the bank that swindled them out of their pensions.
The Raid – Sky Max – 10.45pm
One of the best action movies of the 21st century, if not of all time, while also feeling like it is about two degrees away from being a brutally violent horror movie.
Lucy – ITV4 – 12.10am
Scar-Jo is pretty great as the American tourist who consumes a test drug that opens up the limits of what the human body and mind is capable of. A bonkers but very entertaining action thriller.
Cast Away – FilmFour – 12.50am
The movie where Tom Hanks makes friends with a ball when he gets stuck on an island after a plane crash.
