Enquiring about new and used cars has just gotten a lot easier thanks to the guys at CBG.ie and their new FreePhone web browser service.

CGB.ie has launched Ireland’s first “Freephone from Browser Facility”, allowing those browsing CBG.ie’s online car classifieds access to call a dealer/seller directly from the ad in their browser. In essence this is a click-to-call option, but directly from the browser itself and best of all, it won’t cost you a penny.

It’s a great idea as it makes enquiring about a new or used car a whole lot easier and we can see the likes of restaurants and other service industries jumping on board in the not too distant future.

This innovative service was developed by Kodacall, an Irish tech start-up, whose PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) offering brings immersive multi-media communications capabilities to Web and APPD Developers.

The company initially targeted developers and web portals in the European on-line Classifieds verticals, and has finalised this positioning and launch with CBG.ie here in Ireland.

“This is very exciting for both www.CBG.ie and its 230,000 monthly visitors,” said Joe Kavanagh, Digital Commercial Director with www.CBG.ie.

“It’s a world first and a unique proposition for the public viewing the 35,000 cars currently live on CBG. We have been working in close partnership with Kodacall and are delighted to be first to market with this service that undoubtedly will become the norm over the years to come.”

It’s a great idea and you can see it in action for yourself in the video below…
