Another day, another new cause of cancer – what are we avoiding now?

The world was racked with disappointment a week or two ago when the WHO and IARC declared that processed meat most definitely increases the risk of cancer, and red meat probably does.

Well there’s something new to be scared of today, according to some scientists.

Apparently, cooking with vegetable oils releases toxic ‘aldehydes’ which can cause cancer.

These same scientists recommend frying your food in butter, olive oil or even lard instead.

These claims come as a result of a series of experiments, but has not been endorsed by the WHO or the IARC. So let’s not get too worked up about this one just yet.
