They swam 7.9km, cycled Mizen to Malin in five days, ran four marathons in four days and today will finish up with a 50km run to Dublin. We salute these hugely impressive ultra-triathletes.

Mark Nelion, Richard Heart and Wesley Reilly set about the mammoth task last week in aid of the Irish Cancer Society and Irish Autism Action and the race has been backed by Keith Duffy.

The men have been busy over the past week, with a 7.9km swim in Portlaoise Leisure Centre followed by a five day Mizen to Malin cycle that took them the length of the country.

After getting off the saddles, the lads undertook four marathons in four days and today they cap off their challenge with a 50km run from the Curragh to Flannery’s Pub in Dublin, where they will certainly have earned a drink or two.

The lads have been keen to raise funds for their chosen charities and congratulations on a brilliant achievement.
