We'll be revealing how far Brian has come with a photoshoot next week, but until then here's his very last 'Get Ripped' blog
Well, here it is, my final blog of the challenge. Twelve weeks have absolutely flown by. Thinking back to not only the first week of the challenge but the very first day, I’m impressed with how far I’ve come.
Although this is the final week officially of the challenge, I won’t be stopping here. With my wedding coming up in May, I plan on still training pretty hard up until that point.
However, this has been a total life changer. Before, I really thought in order to lose weight or look fit was to run or do as much cardio as possible, but I know now, to achieve the ‘ripped’ look it’s done 1. In the gym 2. In the kitchen
Again, I seem to asked the same few questions all the time which are:
Are you always in the gym? The past 5 weeks I’ve been there once a day 5 days a week.
Are you there for hours? Each session is about 40-50 minutes. It’s a relatively short session, but you have to give it your all.
What has been the hardest part? It might sound strange but just getting used to going to the gym was probably the hardest part. Getting into a routine of going everyday and fitting that around work and social life was hard in the beginning.
Sticking to the diet the last couple of weeks would be a close second.
Will you give it up after? No. With the results I’ve achieved within this short space of time I really want to keep it up.
Could you drink (alcohol)? The number 1 question I get asked. To me it seems obvious. NO!!
I’m truly delighted with what I’ve achieved over the past 12 weeks. To ‘Get Ripped’ was always a dream but I never knew how to go about it correctly. I can’t thank Dan Smullen from Fitness Dock enough for working with me. Giving me all his guidance and know how over the weeks as well as working around me for our training sessions.
Also, thanks to Optimum Nutrition for giving me this opportunity in the first place along with The Fitness Dock and of course JOE.ie
