JOE

Get checking.

You may have seen Breast Cancer Ireland announce their #FeelYourSelfie campaign. FeelYourSelfie is on a mission to encourage women to check their breasts more regularly using the effective three finger examination technique.

Although women are getting involved JOE.ie are asking men to support the women in their lives by taking a selfie, sharing it, nominating 3 others and texting FEEL to 50300

A bevvy of Irish female stars and celebrities have got involved including Sinead Desmond, Norah Casey, Emma Hannigan, Cathy O’Connor, Vivienne Connolly, Lynn Kelly (pic below), Roz Purcell, and Courtney Smith.

Breast Cancer Ireland have developed a free to download app “Breast Aware” that sends a discreet monthly reminder to your phone and offers a simulated video guide on how to perform a self breast examination.

The FeelYourSelfie Campaign asks women to take a selfie with a three finger salute across their chest, clothed or otherwise; nominate and share with three close friends; post the selfie online with #FeelYourSelfie and then donate €4.00 by texting FEEL to 50300 to support Breast Cancer Irelands ongoing research efforts.

Our man Eric Lalor got the ball rolling earlier (see above) and he also got nominating as per below and we can expect most of the other writers to get involved too.

So lads, there you have it. Get snapping, take some selfies, using the hashtag above, nominate three friends and let’s raise some much needed cash for a hugely vital and deserving cause.
