“Man Up highlights the positive and powerful role men can play in ending domestic violence.”
That’s the message the UFC’s Cathal Pendred is delivering in this new video from Safe Ireland. Cathal is one of Ireland’s top professional fighters, but he recognises that there is no place for violence in the home.
He discusses the pressures on the modern man to be macho and tough. However, he recognises that there are other types of strength that everyone should utilise to end the epidemic of domestic abuse.
SAFE Ireland‘s new campaign, entitled MAN UP, is trying to end domestic abuse in Ireland. Safe Ireland is asking men to be allies with women against abuse.
The campaign is about one simple but powerful thing: men showing pride and leadership, challenging abuse & violence, and supporting women & children. It’s about making Ireland a safer place for women and children.
