Weight Watchers Diary: Week 6

I seem to be getting into a rhythm now that I've reached the half-way point on week six, though unfortunately there is no weight loss to report this week.

Starting weight: 15 stone 3 pounds

Current weight: 14 stone 10 pounds

I seem to be getting into a rhythm now that I’ve reached the half-way point on week six, though unfortunately there is no weight loss to report.

On the bright side, there is no weight gain either and my diet is definitely improving. All in all it’s a good report seeing as it was a Bank Holiday weekend and a few pints were had. I also had to factor in the big traditional Easter dinner and a little bit of chocolate of course! But I planned and calculated my ProPoints which meant I wasn’t tempted for a second helpin.

This week I was travelling on the road a lot for work, I had to make a couple of stops at petrol stations which was a little bit of a challenge as usually I am tempted to pick up a snack or a roll. I’m glad to say that I remembered what my Weight Watchers leader said and I kept to the healthiest options available at the deli counter and avoided some chocolate impulse buys.

Now that I am at the half-way point I can definitely say that I am completely invested in this program, which is great, as on previous weight loss or fitness kicks I would have given up by now. It helps that the program is easy to follow, I can still eat my favourite food and I’m never left starving. I have so much more energy now which is a mix between the type of food I’m eating and the exercise I’m doing. There’s nothing like a good run to lift your mood.

The weekly meetings are a great motivator. Knowing that each week I’ll be up on that scales and talking about how my week went makes me think again whenever I’m tempted to cheat. But not only that, the other members and my leader are a great support and it’s comforting to know that everyone is there for the same reason – we all want to lose those extra couple of pounds…

I just hope I can lose a few more before it is all over.
