This week I am delighted to say that I have dropped another two pounds with my sights firmly set on my 14 stone target. Adapting to a changed lifestyle was a little difficult at the start, but now it is very much becoming my routine.

College commitments are another distraction, but I suppose everyone has something which they could use an excuse if needed. I have had a change in class leaders because I had to change around classes, and some fresh ideas are always good to help me with my motivation. I am fortunate to have some excellent class leaders who are great at keeping focused.

A few good pointers I picked up this week are to slice and dice anything you can as the act of this will make you appreciate the food you are eating more. It will appear you are eating more then say just simply eating an apple, which by the way we learned is a good tummy filler.

Words worth learning are au gratin, armigianino, tempura, alfredo, creamy and carbonara, anything with these in them always ProPoint to high enough fat content so perhaps they are best saved for a meal using your weekly ProPoint allowance.

On course to lose the weight before the wedding

My class leader advised me to taste something new as my diet is pretty much the same every day which is fine by me, but I gave it a go and now I love avocados. My fruit intake since this started has gone through the roof helping me feel healthier, more energised, giving me clearer skin and allowing me to fit back into some jeans that were on the verge of been thrown out.

It really is onwards and upwards.
