Thankfully the Premier League is almost back, which means Saturdays will be restored to their former glory very, very soon.
All this anticipation got us thinking, ‘what would our ideal Saturday look like?’

NO ALARMS AND NO SURPRISES
We’re pretty sure the Radiohead tune isn’t about a Saturday lie-in.
Nonetheless, after 5 long days of battling with the snooze button, isn’t it great to be able to cancel those alarms and enjoy the cold side of the pillow.
An exciting sporting encounter or two
We’re not referring to 15 0-0 draws, Dublin scoring 6-92 against Carlow or an England v Scotland rugby match. We’re referring to top-class, exciting sport.
The sort that goes down in the memory, rather than escapes it.
Nom, nom, nom
A meet up with the lads is quintessential to the perfect Saturday. A couple of beers, pizzas and wings: the ideal combination.
A bouncer who’s not ‘a you know what’
The last thing anyone wants after a great day is a bouncer who’s not overly fond of your trainers, or thinks you’re shirt isn’t shiny enough for his club.
Saturday nights are all about enjoyment with your mates and if you’re just having the craic, you don’t want a doorman who lets the power go to his head.
A waiting cab
The last thing you want after a night out on the tiles is to have to wait longer that 30 seconds for a taxi.
