How would Guinness drinkers feel about this?

For Guinness drinkers, it really is hard to beat a pint of the black stuff. Mmmm, lovely Guinness.

But how would Guinness drinkers feel about a pint of Guinness that contains no alcohol at all?

Guinness drinkers in Indonesia have been finding that out for some time now as a drink called Guinness Zero ABV has been introduced in the country, where demand for non-alcoholic beer has increased as a result of the introduction of public health measures to combat excessive drinking.

It seems to have gone down well too, with a Diageo representative telling the Sunday Independent that the product has been performing well in Indonesia since it was introduced this time last year.

Whether Guinness would be tempted to introduce something similar on this side of the world remains to be seen, but they have come up with slight alternatives to the existing Guinness brand in recent years, such as Guinness Light and Guinness Black Lager.

A non-alcoholic version of Guinness, would you drink to that?
