10,000 Londoners rate a short commute and a trip to the gym higher than sex in an improved wellbeing survey.
The wellbeing of people with a short commute was on average 8.3% higher than those with a longer commute, having a bigger effect on people’s wellbeing than having sex, calling their family or earning more than an average wage.
As well as this, Londoners who said they felt ‘almost always’ happy averaged a shorter commute than those who were ‘almost never’ happy.
A study by Time Out found that for every ten minutes spent commuting a participant’s wellbeing was reduced by 1%
