Ad of the Week: Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber show off their butts…

The Red Bull Racing team don't mind you looking at their rear. Actually, in their new advert, they're actively encouraging people to appreciate their behinds. Lovely.

The Red Bull Racing team don’t mind you looking at their arse. Actually, in their new advert, they’re actively encouraging people to appreciate their rears. Lovely.

Yes, this week’s Ad of the Week is something of an ode to the underside, a celebration of the arse cheek, a homage to the humble hole. You want to know what the campaign behind this advertisement is called? We bet you do. It’s called THIS IS MY BUTT and we’re pretty sure they’ve gotten their point across with this beaut of a commercial.

The advertisement features F1 champion Sebastian Vettel and team-mate Mark Webber. It also features many, many close ups of their behinds as they strut around wearing Pepe Jeans. Why the jeans? Well the advertisement is celebrating the fact that Pepe Jeans London is the official team partner of Red Bull Racing.

Yeah…we know it’s an unlikely combination, but believe it or not, the two have something special in common: their rears. Oh yes.

The advert opens to the sound of shrieking tyres and then cuts to a view of both Vettel’s and Webber’s Pepe-Jeans-clad-arses as they walk through the Red Bull Racing garage.

There’s lots of close ups on their backsides, coupled with ‘witty’ dialogue from the boys that include phrases like “Your eyes fixed on me” (close up of bum) and “I’ve been there too. Just behind you…” (close up of bum).

The competitive streak is also clear from the onset as both drivers talk about how they feel about losing example: “Fearful of that lap that leaves you way behind, of finishing knowing you weren’t first.”

Eventually we are given a full shot of both drivers as they look at their new Red Bull Racing motors. This is coupled with the words “This is all I want you to see of me. Hey my butt isn’t that bad either and I don’t mind you looking at it.” How…eh…nice of them?

Anyway, Vettel and Webber stand alongside the new racing cars, grinning and rocking their Pepe Jeans. We’re already picturing the two of them doing some ridiculous competitive jean-shopping together.

Anyway, this ad is worth watching just for the sheer LOL factor involved. It will also inspire you to use the phrase ‘THIS IS MY BUTT’ in everyday conversation. Try it, the reactions are priceless…
