American car manufacturer Chrysler have had a good year on the ad front, kicking off with Eminem in a Super Bowl slot and finishing with this nicely emotive and poetic effort.

The Eminem commercial – which you can see at the bottom of the page – offered up a stirring defence of the long-flagging Motor City of Detroit and all it stands for.

This one is a little less confrontational but it still packs a punch.

Under the title “See It Through”, it includes a poem from Michigan poet Edgar Albert Guest about the rigours of World War I.

It premiered during the American football clash between the Detroit Lions and Super Bowl champions Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving.

Now, a reminder of that great Chrysler Eminem ad from earlier in the year.
