Your mam might constantly tell you that you’ve got movie star good looks and that you’re just as much of a VIP as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence or Steve Guttenberg but you might have perfect opportunity to prove her right…sort of.

Aer Lingus are giving your Hollywood dreams a serious boost because the airline have just announced that they’re launching three transatlantic routes to LAX, Connecticut and an as yet unnamed location.

The 45-foot high letters of the famous sign, last painted in 1995, will receive a coat of primer and specially formulated paint called Hollywood White. (Photo by David Livingston/Getty Images)

To be honest, it’s probably just better news for people that wants a cracking holiday abroad as opposed to your mate that fancies himself as the next Colin Farrell but you never know!

The LA route was previously used by Aer Lingus, it was cancelled at the beginning of the recession, but I’ve a feeling that this flight will be incredibly popular with Irish people.

Los Angeles International Airport is seen on November 1, 2013, after a gunman reportedly shot 3 people at a security checkpoint. At least two people were injured Friday when a gunman opened fire at Los Angeles' international (LAX) airport, parts of which were evacuated as police swarmed into the area, officials and reports said. LAX said there were "multiple victims" including an airport worker, but police said there was "no mass casualty incident" at the airport, while at least one shooter was detained. Bradley International Airport in Connecticut is perfectly suited for people that fancy seeing the East coast of the US, the state lies between Massachusetts to the north and New York to the west and south.

The third location is yet to be disclosed but The Independent have reason to believe that it’s Miami, music to the ears of Irish party lovers everywhere.

The news of Aer Lingus’ transatlantic expansion follows their announcement of new routes to Manchester, Montpellier and Pisa.

On that note…
