The world’s biggest app is heading for the final frontier next month – that’s right, Angry Birds is launching into Space for a spin-off due on March 22.
Though developers Rovio have been tight-lipped surrounding specific details on Angry Birds Space, we do know that the app is coming just one month’s time and promises: ‘One small fling for a bird, one quantum leap for birdkind’.
According to Rovio, the new title will be a “completely new game” rather than the veritable reskins that were Angry Birds: Seasons or Angry Birds: Rio. Unsurprisingly, the launch of Angry Birds Space will also coincide with transmedia content such as retail, animation and publishing ventures.
Aside from that, Rovio have whispered at “innovative new gameplay” and a few surprises, though the official website for the app, launched today, features little more than a teaser video and desktop wallpaper downloads.
