Arnotts are set to host a range of men’s tailoring events from the end of September through October.

By Robert Carry

The first event is on 30 September from 6-8pm and will be hosted by Simon Carter, known as the ‘King of Cufflinks’ – the man responsible for iconic designs such as the ‘Aspirin’ cufflink.

Simon is celebrating 25 years in business and his accessories line includes watches, cufflinks, ties, luggage, small leather goods and pens. In early 2002 he introduced a menswear line which is a favourite of celebrities like Robert Downey Jr. and Jonathan Ross.

The next event, on 7 October from 6-8pm, will be hosted by Irish designer Paul Costello, whose six sons were a big hit for his suits at London Fashion Week this year. The event will feature a range of classic and tailored pieces from the highly acclaimed designer.

Magee will host the next event which will take place on 14 October, from 6-8pm, and a master tailor from Magee will be in attendance. Magee will be offering a Personal Tailored suit for €450 with a free pair of trousers (from selected cloths) and a Personal Tailored Jacket for €199 (again, from selected cloths).

The events, set to take place in the men’s department of Arnotts, are an ideal opportunity for Irish men to get some advice from a master tailor about cuts, shapes and on other suit-related issues.
