Artistic genius has used Microsoft Paint to recreate some of Gerry Adams’ craziest tweets

"Ducky ar lá." Classic Gerry.

Alan Loughnane

Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams is a colourful character on Twitter to say the least, often tweeting very trivial and, more often than not, very confusing moments from his life.

Twitter user and modern-day Michelangelo, Illustrated Gerry, has latched on to some of these barmy tweets and subsequently used Microsoft Paint to put Adams’ tweets into scenes comparable to the Sistine Chapel.

Some of these drawings are extraordinary feats of persistence and skill on Microsoft Paint, especially considering that, when we use it, we just make squares and fill them with different colours. The squares are all different sizes mind you.

Have a look at some of these excellent pieces of art below and in case you’re wondering, the answer is “yes.” Gerry Adams did actually say all of these things on Twitter…

And finally, the pièce de résistance, our favourite and the one appropriate to sign off on…

More of these incredible paintings are available here on GA_Illustrated’s terrific Twitter account.
