Another viral challenge for you to spend ages trying to get right…
Every now and again, a viral challenge pops up online, and completely takes the internet by storm.
Sometimes it’s for charity like the Ice Bucket Challenge, and sometimes it’s just for a bit of craic, like the more recent Vans Flip Challenge.
And now, we’ve got the Bottle Cap Challenge.
The Bottle Cap Challenge requires you to stand a plastic bottle up, above head height, while you execute a spinning kick to the lid of the bottle, spinning the lid, and not knocking the bottle over.
Simple, right?
The challenge hasn’t caught on the same way others have, and that’s probably because it’s extremely difficult.
UFC Champion Max Holloway was one of the first to give it a go, and he made it look easy.
Be curious my friends! #challengeaccepted #bottlecapchallenge Passing this on to our guy @JohnMayer …. hey John if you can’t complete this challenge @erlsn and I decided you have to come to Hawaii after your tour and kick it with us until you complete it! 🦶🍾😅 🙏⚡🤙 👊 pic.twitter.com/gLWn0dpOzV

But if you think that it’s the sort of thing that only a world class martial artist could execute, well, think again.
Because singer John Mayer also did it, and looked pretty damn good while doing so too.
He accepted @BlessedMMA's challenge! 😱👀

Okay, fair enough. Maybe Big John has been training for a while. There’s no reason to feel bad about not being able to get it right. Right? RIGHT?
Wrong. Max Holloway’s nine-year-old son also did it, perfectly.

God damn it. Oh well, time to get practicing again.
