And so our week of brilliant car ads continues.
By Eoghan Doherty
Yesterday JOE ran a DoneDeal story about a Volkswagon Polo MK2 up for sale that was being advertised in a very special musical way. We just hope that the car’s engine is more in tune than the seller’s singing.
Watch and listen to the musical masterpiece in all its glory here.
One Aussie has gone one step better and has written up an absolutely hilarious ad for his 1991 Subaru Brumby on Gumtree – a Ute that was “fabricated from rare minerals excavated from the core of Mount Olympus,” was considered “too intelligent for the role of KITT in Knight Rider” and which has “windscreen wiper jets filled with the tears of Jesus (washes away the most sinful grime).”
What more do you want?

Forget the fact that it’s on the other side of the world, JOE are considering making a very reasonable offer of “6.5kg of freshly minted Swiss gold bullion” for the barbarian. A bargain really.
Rich Wisken, the author of the piece, has since been contacted by various advertising agencies with a view to writing for them Peggy Olson-style and one Sydney-based radio station loved the ad so much that they even went to the trouble of creating a mock ad for it, complete with its own epic Australian voice-over guy.
Go and read the ad here or, if you’re too lazy/born after 1994 and can’t read anything other than txtspk lolz, listen to it below.
And then go and learn to read properly.
