A nice story…
A baby born on a flight from Dubai to Manila has received one hell of a gift from the airline… one million air mile points.
The girl was born aboard a plane belonging to Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific and as she was the first child to ever be born on one of these flights, they decided to gift the baby named Haven with the air miles.
During the flight on Sunday, Haven’s mother went into labour midway through a five and a half hour flight and unable to land, the staff on the plane found two nurses to help deliver the baby.
Haven was born five weeks premature according to the Guardian and the plane landed in Hyderabad, India to ensure that both mother and daughter received swift medical attention following the birth.
One passenger witnessed the events and posted the details of the extraordinary story on Facebook.
“We only heard one semi-loud screech, and a few seconds later there were tinier, cute screeches, and it was when we knew the baby was born,” she said.
“Moments later, the woman got up to go back to her seat, baby in arms (mighty strong, I might say). There were two other babies with us in the front row, and one of the passengers had a suitcase full of infant clothes and necessities, which could not have come at a better time.”
