This guy makes so many bad decisions that it’s hard to know where to start…

If you’re going to tinker around with your car’s engine, it’s best to have some safety equipment close by in case something goes wrong… and it helps to know what you’re doing.

Sadly, no one told that to this kid over in the US who made some seriously stupid moves while trying to put out an engine fire in his garage. Check it out…

The bloke tries to start his little Mazda MX-5’s engine but it spits out a flame, so he gives it another spin only for the engine to catch fire.

The kid does the next logical thing by trying to start the fiery, petrol-filled engine again, but unsurprisingly, it doesn’t start. Then, instead of grabbing a fire extinguisher, the kid tries to blow out the flames, like a birthday cake – not a smart move.

He then realises that he had a can of petrol sitting on top of the engine bay, so he quickly grabs the can, which goes up in flames and almost covers the poor lad.

Thankfully, he managed to put the fire out with the garden hose, but not before ruining a perfectly good Mazda.

So the next time you decided to give your car a whole new engine, make sure you know what you’re doing.
