FEATURE: If famous Irish people were hamburgers they would be…?

JOE

Brought to you by Eddie Rockets.

Here at JOE, we like to keep you up-to-date with the latest and greatest goings-on in Ireland and further afield.

But here’s the problem: this morning we’re hungry… not just any old type of hungry either; we’re hungry for Eddie Rockets’ hamburgers.

So we’ve decided to combine those two passions and bring you the definitive list of which Irish icon would be which hamburger.

Jalapeno Popper – Conor McGregor

This hamburger carries a delicious punch and could easily catch you off guard.

We would advise against trying to finish it in 13 seconds though.

Pierce Brosnan – The Classic

Just like Brosnan, The Classic has been around forever and just like Brosnan, The Classic’s excellence lies in its simplicity.

There are no frills, because sometimes there is absolutely no need for them.

Bacon Cheddar  – Paul O’Connell

On the surface, the likeness is obvious: both are fan-favourites and both are badly missed when you can’t have them… God, we would really love a Bacon Cheddar right about now.

Smokestack – Katie Taylor

The sizzling smokestack is loaded with smoked applewood cheese, smoky bacon, onion rings, relish and secret sauce.

Nobody knows why it’s so darn good, it just bloody is!

Taylor has a habit of smoking opponents in the ring and her skills and power are an anomaly to most of us.

Bacon & Egg Clonakilty Supreme – Daithí O’Shea

Just like O’Shéa, this hamburger is uniquely Irish and it probably wouldn’t be as popular overseas. That being said, as us Irish can’t get enough of it.
