It’s hard trying to find a car that will suit your manly needs without costing you a fortune, but don’t worry about it, JOE has you covered.
Finding a car that’s cheap, fun and still fairly manly can be a bit of a nightmare. So that’s why we’ve decided to bring you five reasonably priced cars for the average bloke.
VW Polo – Starting from €15,920
There aren’t too many cars that we’d stop to take a second glance at (like when you check out a hot woman who just walked by), but these new VW Polo Mk V’s are really something to behold.
It’s tough times out there and you might not be able to splash out on the Polo’s bigger brother, the VW Golf, but then again, why bother? The Polo has everything you could want from a car and the new facelift is absolutely gorgeous. It’s like the Polo showed up for the Golf’s wedding wearing something from Victoria’s Secrets. So for those of you that think the Polo is just a cheap mans Golf, think again.

Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo – Starting from €15,220
The Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo is one of the sexiest cars you can buy for under €20,000. Actually… the Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo is the sexiest car you can buy for under €20,000. The Fabia is a nice car to begin with, but it’s made even nicer by the special Monte Carlo trim, brought in to celebrate 100 years of the Monte Carlo rally.
On top of what you usually get, the Monte Carlo comes with 17” black rims, tinted black headlamps, sports seats, a sports chassis and a different coloured roof. If you’re looking for something that will make you look cool on the track or as you pop down to the shops, the Škoda Fabia Monte Carlo is the car you’re looking for.

Citroën DS3 – Starting from €18,950
The Citroën DS3 is one of the most enjoyable rides you’ll experience outside of the bedroom – one of the more comfortable one’s too. That’s all thanks to the car’s ESP or Electronic Stability Programme which comes as standard on all DS3’s.
The ESP gives you much better control of the road, which lets you relax a little bit so you can chill and enjoy the ride. One of the coolest features on the DS3 are its LED lights located on the front bumper. They make the car look meaner, which is always a plus.

Audi A1 – Starting from €19,310
The Audi A1 is automotive proof that big things come in small packages. The car may seem a tad small, but the only thing that’s tiny is the price. It may come as a shock to some of you that an A1 could be all yours for less than €20,000.
Who would have thought you could be rolling around in a posh Audi for less than €20,000? The A1 really does have everything though. It has the cool stylish looks, the sporty edge and the comfort of a large five-door saloon. If you’re looking for something that has a personality to match it’s performance, then you’ve found your car.

Renault Mégane Coupé – Starting from €20,690
The Renault Mégane Coupé is the most expensive car on our list, but it’s one of the nicest too. Those of you who are thinking of trading up will be glad to hear that you can acquire one of these coupé beauties for just €17,390 thanks to Renault’s handy trade in offer.
It’s easily the biggest car that we’ve featured on this list and so it might be well suited for all the JOE readers that have little ones running around the place. You’ll be glad of the extra room when the little feckers nippers start kicking your back seat.
