Planes, trains and automobiles have been halted in their tracks in the chaos that is this weekend’s ‘ice-bomb’.
Lows of -8°C have been recorded across the country, deeming roads ‘treacherous’ and ‘impassable’ by rural communities. A number of flights have been cancelled due to the inclement weather, with significant snowfall resulting in the cancellation of buses and trains, too.
Ryanair announced in a statement on Sunday: “Due to adverse weather in the UK, a number of flights have been affected today.”
Aer Lingus was also forced to cancel flights due to “adverse weather conditions.”
