Remember MTV Cribs?
It was the show that made a generation want tanks filled with exotic, illegal fish and wide-screen televisions approximately the size of Louth.
It also gave us an idea of how celebs lived. Very well, was of course the answer. Very well, indeed.
From the ridiculous, to the extraordinary, here’s 5 of our favourite homes from MTV Cribs.
Shola Ameobi
You may be cool, but you’ll never be as cool as rubbish average footballer Shola Ameobi.
This episode didn’t just show us Shola Ameobi’s impressive pad, it also gave us the journalistic scoop of the century – Shola loves hats.
Shola comes across about as interesting as watching someone watch paint dry, but nonetheless, the randomness of having the former Newcastle United perennial-sub made this one of the show’s most memorable moments.
Chris Pontius
Well this was a change of pace from the usual opulence.
The Jackass star was apparently living out of his truck.
From a g-string littered floor to a ‘holy cross security system’, this was definitely a crib that stuck out in our mind.

Richard Branson
When we grow up we want to live here.
HE OWNS AN ENTIRE BLOODY ISLAND.
It’s not fair is it? No, it’s DEFINITELY not fair.
We’ve no proof, but we’re pretty sure Sir Richard Branson is preparing to be a Bond villain and that this 74-acre island will be his secret lair.
When a rocket flies out from an open volcano, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Manny Pacquiao
Boxer, actor, basketball player and politician are just a few strings on Pacquio’s bow.
He is also the owner of this impressive home.
It’s 4,500 square feet of beauty and we’d love to go over to take a look.
The Gorillaz
The homes on cribs have always been the stuff of dreams, figuritively speaking.
The Gorillaz place is the stuff of dreams, literally.
The animated super-group home is everything you’d expect and more.
We won’t waste any more of you’re time talking about it. Just look for yourself.
