Concept cars can be a hit and miss affair, but not the Ferrari Millenio. Meet the futuristic eco-Ferrari that could be on our roads soon enough.
Well, when we say soon enough, we actually mean ‘before the end of the next millennium’, which is when the designer, Marko Petrovic, envisions his concept will become a part of the Ferrari line-up.
The stunning futuristic concept features a complex combination of materials and technologies and according to Petrovic he hopes “it will become a serious reality before the year 3000”. At least he’s being realistic.

His two-seater Millenio includes a ‘Buckypaper’ reinforced body that is stronger than steel and lighter than carbon fibre as well as dual electric engines that can be recharged via solar panels dotted all over the car or through an inductive power transfer system where you would ‘plug-and-go’. So not only does the car look like it can make a King cobra crap itself, but it’s also saving the polar bears. Not bad.
The car resembles that of the Mercedes Benz Stirling Moss racing car with its open cockpit two-seater set-up. Although the car is gorgeously mean, it doesn’t really fit in with what Ferrari do. It may be better suited as a Mercedes Benz-AMG concept or even a Lamborghini.
Still, no denying its coolness. Roll on the year 3000.
